Being a member of the Emerald Jazz Dance Team is an unforgettable experience! It's an opportunity to make lifelong friendships, travel, gain national exposure, be visible on campus and in the community plus perform at countless sporting events.
The Team has been in existence since 1982 and is among the nation’s top programs! In 1995 the team was crowned the very first Universal Dance Association’s Open Dance Team National Champions!
The Emerald Jazz can be seen at events such as the Children's Holiday Parade, on campus events and with special appearances at high school dance competitions. This team is on the MOVE!
Over the years, the Emerald Jazz Dance team has taken numerous competitive honors, ranked in the Top 10 nationally and has earned “countless” PAID lodging bids to the National Dance Alliance Collegiate National Championship held in Daytona Beach Florida.
Along with being one of the most talented teams in the country, the Emerald Jazz holds a cumulative team 3.3 GPA and takes their academic career seriously.
